Antoine GriezmannArsenal target Antoine Griezmann has rejected a new two-year deal at Real Sociedad.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, as reported by the Daily Star, the 23-year-old winger has turned down a contract extension and is said to be considering his options this summer.

Although the France international’s contract doesn’t expire until 2016, Sociedad could be tempted to cash in on their prized asset should a good offer be tabled.

However, the La Liga outfit will not allow him to leave the Basque club for no less than his £23.9 million buy-out clause in his contract.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly been keeping tabs on Griezmann and has seen first hand what the tricky forward is capable of during his time in Brazil.

Wenger is keen to strengthen his frontline ahead of the new season, and although a deal for Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez appears imminent, the Frenchman would still like to bring Griezmann to the Emirates to bolster his options.

Griezmann had a productive season for Sociedad, scoring 20 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions as well as three assists.

His impressive form for his club earned him a call up into France’s World Cup squad and managed to feature in all five of Les Bleus matches in Brazil.

He is also being looked at by Manchester United and Chelsea, so is Wenger wants to sign him then he’d better get a move on.
