Sami KhediraEarlier in the week it was reported that Arsenal are eyeing up a move for Sami Khedira and are preparing a bid of around £23.8 million to land the German midfielder after the World Cup concludes.

According to reports in Spain, the 27-year-old wants out of the Bernabeu this summer and Real are yet to accept or reject the bid.

But Arsene Wenger has supposedly told close friend and countryman Mesut Ozil to speak to Khedira about the move to the Emirates.

Arsenal could well do with a younger midfielder coming in to the fray, with Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini both over 30.

But would a move for the Real midfielder be a wise one and does he offer us good value at £23.8 million.

To be fair, I don’t know whether I want to see this move go through or not. Although he is an industrious midfielder, I don’t believe he could offer anything special to our side. I also believe the money we have reportedly put on the table could be used elsewhere, in a more important position which needs addressing.

I would rather see Juventus’ Arturo Vidal wear the red and white of Arsenal than Khedira that’s for sure.

Only the English media are reporting £23m. The Spanish media are quoting £16m.

Vidal’s a world class talent but he’s too much like Ramsey, with his high energy, box to box performances. What we need is a big, strong, disciplined holder who will sit and shield the back four. Khedira or Schneiderlin would offer this but, as good as Vidal is, he’s not that player!

Wenger should stop dilly dallying before other teams get him. He is what arsenal needs in terms of power, pace, vision, discipline covering the back four in the mould of a Veira.

get back to work and sign the boy up .now not thinking about an offer ,not stepping up interest .go and get his signature and sort out the deal .thats what you are paid such a lot of money to do .

No, he’s to old and to slow for arsenals game.

Agree with popcorn. He is not an Arsenal player. Did not impress in the quarter final today. Schneiderlin would be a better choice. Wenger should go for Hummels. Better than Mertesacker and ideal if Verminator goes. Greizmann unimpressive today too. My choice for Wenger would be a top keeper (Ospina), Debuchy, Hummels, Schneiderlin, Sanchez, Martinez.

Sami khedira will never get used to the Arsenal type of play. he is too slow and tend to loose the ball too often. no no no khedira!!!

Mr. Oats hummels has already said earlier that he would consider Manchester united before if he left Dortmund so he’s out of question, and as for ospina, he’s just someone who has had a good world cup but if u look at his club stats they are less than impressive. And if u really think schneiderlin is better than khedira then all u need to do is catch the highlights of tonight’s Germany game, the guy was fabulous.

I watched the whole of the game and was not impressed by Khedira, he was one of the least impressive in the German side and would not suit the Arsenal style. Schneiderlin is a better choice. Wenger would turn him into a better player, he is cheaper, and is still young.

    Pogba would be ideal
