Arsenal are on the verge of completing their first summer signing after opening talks with Anderlecht for David Henen.
The Daily Star reports that the Gunners are negotiating a deal for the 18-year-old striker and are hoping to beat Manchester United to the punch.
Henen is highly rated and being tipped for great things at Anderlecht but could reluctantly sell the youngster should a good offer be tabled.
It is understood that Arsenal are preparing a deal which would see the north Londoners offering the Belgian outfit £1 million upfront and include add-ons plus a season long-loan back to his former club.
It may not be the name many fans would like to see come in, but Arsene Wenger has a knack for acquiring young talent and nurturing them into global stars.
Although primarily Henen likes to play in the centre-forward position, the Belgian starlet can also occupy either flank if need be.
