Pepe ReinaArsenal are weighing up a £5 million summer move for Liverpool’s Pepe Reina, according to the Metro.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper spent last season on-loan at Napoli where he managed to help the Serie A outfit lift the Coppa Italia under former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez.

However, Reina is set to return to Anfield next season but the Spaniard’s future at the Merseyside club looks in doubt as he recently admitted he doesn’t want to be warming the bench and was keen on remaining in Italy instead.

But it appears Arsene Wenger may look into the possibility of signing Reina to offer Wojciech Szczesny some stiff competition next season after Lukasz Fabianski’s departure to Swansea.

Arsenal were linked with a £20 million move for Reina in 2010 but the offer was rejected.

However, Reina may well consider a move to the Emirates if he wishes to stay in the Premier League and could link up with countrymen Santi Cazorla and Mikel Arteta if he decides to sign for the Gunners.
