French ace agrees Arsenal terms

Loic RemyIt’s understood that Arsenal have agreed terms with QPR striker Loic Remy over a summer move.

The 27-year-old Frenchman, who spent last season on loan at Newcastle, has openly stated that his future is up in the air despite QPR’s promotion to the Premier League next season, and Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal have all been linked with a move for the speedy forward.

But according to several reports, Remy has already agreed terms with Arsene Wenger’s side before the World Cup in Brazil commences.

It is thought that the Gunners will pay around £10 million for the France international’s services, and if reports are to be believed then Remy could well prove to be a very astute signing by Wenger by snapping him up before the striker’s price-tag (potentially) increases with a decent World Cup campaign under his belt.

Remy has in the past admitted his admiration for the club and Gunners legend Thierry Henry and was also spotted at the Emirates in the Arsenal’s last game of the season against West Brom, increasing speculation that he may well be playing for us next season.

Remy netted 14 goals in 26 appearances for Newcastle last season and will almost certainly offer Olivier Giroud much-needed and healthy competition upfront.

Let’s hope these reports prove to be accurate.

All of these reports are copied from the original report in the Metro. That stated that the first report came from Sky Sports Radio. I was listening to that channel whilst out in the sun all day yesterday and I can tell you for certain that they never once stated any such thing. I think the Metro were simply scammed….

If this is true then its something admirable because Remy is the bit we hsve been missing upfront. Giroud is fine but Remy could be the Poacher that win us games we usually lose. How many passes have gone astray or gone begging for a finisher with speed and tenacity? Any more striker will be a bonus so Benzema will not be coming. Personally, I don’t believe he is suitable for EPL so money can be spent on DM, a CB a GK and a RB
