Stan Kroenke will hand over a massive £100 million warchest for Arsene Wenger to utilize during the summer transfer window, according to the Telegraph.
It is thought Kroenke remains adamant that Wenger is still the right man to lead the Gunners for years to come and has put his faith in the Frenchman by entrusting him with the greatest transfer budget in the club’s history.
Wenger’s contract at the Emirates is set to expire at the end of the season but many believe he will remain at the club for the foreseeable future, and although his grip of the Premier League title has loosened in recent weeks and now faces an all too familiar situation by attaining a top four finish instead, Kroenke’s trust in Wenger is undeterred – even though some of the Arsenal faithful believe his time is up.
While £100 million in transfer funds doesn’t exactly seem a huge amount, Wenger can acquire a number of players with it, if history is anything to go by.
