Arsenal and Juventus are among several clubs who are interested in Sheffield United youngster Diego de Girolamo, according to the Daily Mail.
The 18-year-old Chesterfield-born striker has been watched by both Juve and the Gunners this season, as well as other clubs in Italy.
De Girolamo has been capped by Italy’s Under-18 and 19 levels, with the national coaching staff tipping the young forward to have a bright future, although he could still qualify to play for England in the future.
He has yet to make a first-team appearance for the League One outfit but has appeared on the substitutes bench frequently this season, with the youngster getting back to full fitness after injuring a cruciate ligament playing for Italy’s Under-18 side last year.
Not sure if this would be a wise buy for Arsenal to take as although he appears to have potential, the majority of the Emirates faithful would rather see a more established striker come in during the summer transfer window.
dont know why he’d want to play for arsenal! going from 17k passionate fans to playing in a library!!
