Keiran TrippierReports this weekend suggest Arsenal are weighing up a move for right-back Kieran Trippier this summer.

The Manchester City academy product has been in impressive form this season for Burnley and The Sunday People claim Arsene Wenger is ready to step up his interest in Trippier when the season comes to an end.

With Bacary Sagna’s future undecided at the Emirates and Carl Jenkinson set for a loan deal to gain more experience and playing time, signing a right-back will be a top priority for Wenger this summer. And should Sagna leave and Jenkinson be loaned out then a move for Trippier could well be on the cards.

Trippier, who had three loan spells at Burnley before signing for The Clarets permanently in 2012, has made 44 appearances this season for Sean Dyche’s side this season.

Although the 23-year-old looks to have some potential, a number of fans will question why Wenger is targeting a Championship right-back rather than one who has experience in a top flight league.
