Tomas RosickyMy Arsenal player ratings from this afternoon’s hard-fought 1-0 win against Spurs at White Hart Lane (feel free to argue or agree with me):

Wojciech Szczesny – Despite two moments of madness early on in the second-half, the Polish keeper dealt with everything that was thrown at him and was very good aerially as well. 7/10

Bacary Sagna – Didn’t get forward as much as he would have liked but was defensively sound. Booked early on. 7/10

Per Mertesacker – The big German was immense today. Read the game superbly, won everything in the air and made some crucial interceptions throughout. 8/10

Laurent Koscielny – Like Per, Kos was equally colossal at the back. Dealt with Spurs’ aerial threat and got his body in the way of everything. Man of the Match for me. 9/10

Kieran Gibbs – Struggled in the first-half and left space behind him which Spurs exploited at times. Got better as the game wore on. 6.5/10

Mikel Arteta – Tried to slow the game down with his passing and although he was positioned well, the Spaniard struggled with the pace of the game. 6.5/10

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Always looked to push forward and wasn’t afraid of receiving the ball and making something happened. Another decent display from the Ox. 7.5/10

Santi Cazorla – Was fairly quite today. Made some decent passes but never got into the game. 5/10

Tomas Rosicky – Scored a screamer with in the first two minutes which proved to be the winner. 7/10

Lukas Podolski – Made some intelligent runs down the flank and got one or two shots off but failed to track back at times which left Gibbo exposed. 6/10

Olivier Giroud – Won a few flick-ons but couldn’t hold the ball up to bring others into play. Looked extremely tired. 3/10

SUBS:

Mathieu Flamini – Came on for Rosicky in the 68th minute. Got booked and offered a bit more protection to the back four. 5/10

Nacho Monreal – The Spaniard replaced Podolski in the 77th minute and was deployed on the left wing to help out Gibbo which he did. 5/10

Thomas Vermaelen – Came on Chamberlain in the last five minutes of the game to shut shop. N/A

Very bad rating for Giroud but I m absolutely agree on his poor performance. This guy good at nothing and all these while goals are being scored as they are people like Ox, Ozil, Rosicky that feeds well. This “french” fries was having a slow jog from one end to another. Whereas at this moment all his team mates was holding tight to their breath in chasing the ball up and down the field. At times feeling like giving a smack on his face and take a deep cut on his ugly hair…I think he should repent and be committed to the club. Yes his personal life is in the limbo but who cares, just play good football and bring us the trophy, that’s what matter most!!! The club is paying him good monies, so run like a leopard, kick like an elephant (not like a cunt at the moment) head like hammer punch..this is what we really want!!!
