What FIVE things did we learn from Arsenal at Anfield?

Arsene WengerI’m going to keep this short and sweet because I’ve been left annoyed and frustrated by what I saw from my side earlier this afternoon. We got battered by a Liverpool team who simply wanted it more and Brendan Rodgers got his tactics spot on, unlike Arsene Wenger who didn’t have an answer or clue by the looks of it.

Our overall performance was a shambles and conceding four goals in the space of 20 minutes is something I have never seen Arsenal do since I can remember. It was simply not good enough today. Many of our players hid in the Liverpool players’ shadows and none of them looked like they wanted it, and after that humiliating result we now look set to slip down to third place in the Premier League table if Chelsea and Manchester City both bag wins, which looks very likely at present.

If City and Chelsea do win then we will only be one point behind both with 13 games left to play, which doesn’t make for bad reading to be honest.

But, the performance today is something we should be concerned about especially with three massive home games against Manchester United, Liverpool (in the FA Cup) and Bayern Munich all coming up in the space of 11 days.

So having watched that abysmal showing against Liverpool, what five things did we learn from our side?

Wenger was the person who killed the game. right from the defence. he should have start the with gibbs on the left side and podolski up front . Also he should have start rosicky, just the way we played crystial palace. please wenger don’t let us (arsenal fans) down, And we need to beat man u.

Of course AW killed the game as always. He is the know all, would never spend on transfers[Dexter WILL NEVER come to Arsenal because his team management has been riled up by AW’s method of pricing] He has made enemies through the football world; he is the only manager who can complain with Chelsea selling Marta to Man U, and yet does not remember that he negotiated the sell of RVP and it was RVP who handed the cup to Man U. AW shies away from spending money. While other teams are looking for marquee signings, AW is busy scrounging for children just because they cost next to nothing. Most of all, AW does not understand the psychological effect of our signing Ozil. If he did, he would have gone for one or two more- there is nothing better than high morale/confidence in sports.
Let us hope he retires soon while we at the same time learn to live without trophies.

Arsenal needs a director of football to help push through transfer deals. This is nuts… Taking fans for granted, some one needs to reduce Wenger’s power and remind him that this is the 21st century.
People don’t live forever, we need to see our team win some trophy and not wait 100 yrs for financial stability.
Some one needs to explain the reason Arsenal has fans, if the directors’ only goal is to make money and pay themselves huge bonuses every season.
I hate the fact that Wenger really takes us for granted and all he ever reminds us, are the player he COULD have signed. CR7, Yaya, Eto, Zlatan etc.
How much money do the betting companies pay Wenger for Arsenal not to win trophies or even sign players. Arsenal fan

I’m glad I missed the first 50 minutes of this match! Also, disappointed, gutted at the Arsene Wenger.. I don’t support “Wenger Out” brigade, but he deserves blame for this despicable display.. He Wenger trusts players so much, seems his judgement is clouded.. Often times in big matches, first goal is vital.. Playing, starting Wilshere (not fully fit, not a DM) along side Arteta (No power, pace) with idling Ozil remember that Southampton run (he chooses to play 2 gear ever so often). That was suicide, because it motivates likes of JH, Gerard to be on the front foot. Big teams, consistent teams, tittle/ trophy winning teams in England need DM with pace and power, sound defense, a striker who will get behind the defense or partnership do strikers power and pace. We AFC are at the moment short of recognized DMF department, Accurate striker with pace to keep
Defenders honesty.. And worst of all our manager doesn’t improvise enough… I think TV who is dying to get on the pitch will do as good job in DMF position as David Luis of Chelsea.. He will add strength, grit, pace and lethal left foot.. Why not play him along Arteta, because it pretty clear that Wilshere, Ozil, Arteta (All wonderful players/people, in their own right ) do not compliment each other.. Way too much side ways passing, looking around in the middle and little breaking up play and pressing.. Therefore, OX or the wings and the 1 in 5 chances striker Giroud get 1 chance.. That is how you get blow outs in Man city and Liverpool, get almost out played else where.. This team misses the fear factor of Walcott, industry and incredible engine of Ramsey, grit and fearless nature of Flamini and those players allowed Cazorla/Ozil/Wilshere to express themselves.. And the defense to perform to their strengths. Cheers… Hopefully Flamini is back by the weekend.. Ramsey to follow before BMFC shows up..

Montreal too slow 2 start against a team dat has d attack of sturige Suarez n Sterling. Gibs was fit, wonder y Wenger kept him on d bench. Its obvious we lack dept. also Wenger should know how to face each team with different approach. He should v defended more today n use d counter attack against a Liverpool side playing @ an field, who are d 2nd best scoring team dis season.

  • pius says:

pls can any 1 educate me?is it d foolish wenga dat owns d money at d emirate?pls supot me saying wenger is mad and is a big thife.

  • bad deal,kenya says:

The simple and plain fact is,you cannot have heftt profits and trophies and vice versa
Hefty books and cabinet full of trophies just cant balance ,and as such wenger and the board owe the fans an explanation as to whether we are a buniness club or a football club..
Le proff doing the same methods and expecting different outcomes.
How can some one of michael owen type weigh more than a proffesor does ,well it beats logic
Whereas many of us call for a lethal stricker i do think that the real call is that of a new manager its about high time in deed we have a change of stewardship ,its just monotonous our ship ALWAYS capsizes
