radamel falcaoIt’s not secret that Arsenal need sign another striker in the summer transfer window – Olivier Giroud’s dire display against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon confirmed the French forward cannot be relied on to score on a regular basis.

So who do we go for? Well this all depends on how much Arsene Wenger is willing to spend, and if reports about a big money move for Julian Draxler at the end of the season are to be believed, then the Frenchman is in fact prepared to fork out the cash for quality.

Every fan has their desired striker they want to see come in to the club such as Karim Benzema, Jackson Martinez and Diego Costa – all of which will cost a bundle. And if Wenger was willing to splash the cash on Luis Suarez last summer, then maybe he should look no further than any prolific striker operating in France – Radamel Falcao.

Falcao hasn’t had the best of times under Claudio Ranieri and reports suggest a rift between the two which has put the Colombian’s future at Monaco in doubt.

Falcao is currently out injured and with Dimitar Berbatov now at the Ligue 1 club, the 28-year-old may well consider his options at the end of the season,

While many would say Falcao wouldn’t come to England, David Ginola thinks otherwise:

‘Everybody wants to come and play in England.

‘When he had the choice and decided to go to Monaco, I was surprised in the first place.

‘I expected him to go to one of the clubs in England but he’s still young and he has plenty of options in his career.

‘His future could lie in Spain, Monaco or England. It’s too early to decide his future now but, why not [move]? Everyone wants to play in England.’

We have been linked with him in the past and after sealing a massive sponsorship deal with Puma for the next five-years, Arsenal now have more funds available than ever, meaning a move for Falcao is not out of the question.

He would certainly fit the bill at Arsenal and the potential move would be viewed as a statement of intent and an ambitious one to say the least.

We need a top striker and none come better than this man in my opinion, and if one of our rivals are keen on him then so should we.

If Wenger can’t win a trophy this season,I believe most fans believe he has used up all the given to him.It will be time for anew guy to take charge and play direct to score goals instead of the current short passing frenzy which is predictable and can’t win games.rse The gunners can surprise us by beating MU. As for Pool, the game could end in a draw. Then the advantage will go to Pool.
