Gareth BarryArsenal are planning a shock summer move for  Gareth Barry, according to the Sunday Express.

Arsene Wenger attempted to sign the 32-year-old on loan last summer but City turned down the bid as they didn’t want the experienced midfielder joining a Premier League title rival. Instead, Barry opted to join Everton on a season-long loan and has been impressive for Roberto Martinez’s side since.

Martinez tried to make Barry’s temporary move a permanent one during the January transfer window but a swap deal involving Jack Rodwell between City and the Toffees broke down.

However, it now seems Barry wants to keep his options open until the summer when his contract at City runs out and he becomes a free agent.

It’s believed Wenger wants to add more experience and steel to his midfield and sees Barry as the ideal man to do so. In addition, the Frenchman would not have to spend any transfer fees to acquire the England international and could certainly offer him a fine wage package as well.

Arsenal needs QUICK & TECHNICAL players 2 in MIDFIELD and 2 FORWARD and allow Vermalen to play more regularly. Arsenal can’t win any trophy without quick and technical players.

I wish Arsenal does not drop down the 4th place. The actual MIDFIELDERS and the strikers can simply ensure a win (no disrespect to) with (FULHAM at home).

OOZYL should be left out to understand that if he wants to be lazy and play just for fun, he does not have a place in the team.

The only game I have enjoyed watching Arsenal was the FA CUP game with SPURS. Breathtaking. After that there is little to be happy of Arsenal when you see it in prospective.

It is a shame Arsenal plays only the second half only, and gives much space to the opposition. When they play the BIG boys or away, Arsenal always is in retreat, waits to be attacked with no plan to go forward or to counterattack, as they don’t have quick players. Even when they get the ball, Arsenal instead of going forward start passing backwards which is a “NERVOUS BREAKDOWN”.

This are the reasons Arsenal needs now to secure at least the 4th place, and next season to think of buying not big names but technical and quick players only.

If players have the technique and pace OZYL will be brilliant, and whatever happens in defense Arsenal is sure that will score.

We need a solid 2 dimensional defensive midfielder. Box to box and one that can break up tackels. Yaya Toure/Patrick Viera. Flamini is decent but we need one better. Arteta is at best OK.
