sebastien corchiaArsenal could still have a chance of signing French full-back Sebastien Corchia as his mooted move to Lille hangs in the balance.

Although the Sochaux defender agreed a four-year deal with Lille and was presented as their new January signing, the move was unable to be completed as their was a problem with the paperwork. It now appears that the 23-year-old will have to wait until the summer transfer window opens to seal the deal to the French club.

However, other interested clubs could now step in and persuade the highly-rated right-back to turn his back on Lille altogether.

The Gunners were linked with a move for Corchia in the past and with Bacary Sagna’s future at the Emirates still in doubt, Arsene Wenger may well look into the possibility of signing the former France Under-21 international to replace the established 30-year-old.

Dynamo Moscow and Spurs are also believed to be keeping tabs on Corchia’s situation.

A right-back will be needed if Sagna departs in the summer and Corchia looks to be the favourite to replace the Frenchman.
