Bacary SagnaBacary Sagna has been offered a lucrative £4.1 million per season after tax to join Galatasaray in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The 30-year-old Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to agree an extension to remain at the Emirates.

And with less than six months left to run on his deal, Sagna is now free to begin talks with foreign clubs regarding a potential free transfer.

Fenerbahce, PSG, Inter Milan and Monaco have all been credited with interest in the right-back in the past, but Galatasaray have been the quickest to make an offer.

Its believed the Turkish outfit have offered him a four-year contract and a better wage packet than he is currently receiving at Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger has spoken of his desire to retain the services of Sagna and did offer the Frenchman a one-year extension, on the same salary, but this was turned down.

Having rejected the first offer, the Gunners then returned with a new offer of a two-year extension, again on the same money, but Sagna has yet to agree, leaving his future at the Emirates in doubt.

Sagna cannot leave the club until the end of the season when his contract expires, so should he decide not to extend his stay at the club and leave, at least Wenger has the summer transfer window period to recruit a suitable replacement.

I would like to see Sagna stay after the current season, but if Wenger manages to sign a replicable replacement then it won’t be to bad of a loss in my opinion.
