Alessio CerciArsenal will more than likely be in the market this winter for a forward as they look to reinforce their attacking options. And the latest name to be linked with a move to the Emirates is Torino forward Alessio Cerci.

The 26-year-old, who is reportedly on Manchester United’s radar, joined Torino in 2012 from Fiorentina and has been in superb form for the Turin club thus far this season, finding the net eight times in 12 Serie A appearances.

United are thought to be keen on Cerci, having monitored his performances for the last few months, and are weighing up a January move for the Italian international.

And according to reports in Italy, Arsene Wenger is lining up a New Year bid to beat United to the punch.

Torino manager Giampiero Ventura is keen to keep Cerci, but negotiations over a new deal have proven difficult.

However, if Cerci doesn’t manage to sign a new contract extension and decide to leave Torino then Ventura will demand at least £16 million for his star man.

Juve are also believed to be interested in the forward.
