Would you like to see him at Arsenal beyond 2014? [poll]

|

Arsene WengerArsene Wenger recently hinted that he wants to stay at Arsenal beyond 2014.

Wenger only has one more year left to run on his existing contract and despite being linked with the PSG job this summer, the Frenchman has ruled out a move to the Ligue 1 giants at the end of the season.

Wenger has always honoured his contract and will certainly stay for at least one more season at The Emirates. And it is likely that Le Boss will talk to Arsenal officials at the end of the season about a new deal, but this all depends on how well the team is doing.

Quoted in The Sun a few days ago, he said:

‘I want to stay if I do well and if the club considers I do well.

“We have gone through a period that was very sensitive. We are coming out of it now and are in a much stronger position financially.

‘The club is in a very strong position. What is important is the future of the club.

‘I do my job with a lot of commitment and loyalty.’

The news of him wanting to stay beyond his existing deal will split opinions amongst the Arsenal faithful as some of them would like him to remain in charge of the club, while others would rather see the back of him come the end of the 2013/14 season. Reports suggest the club are preparing to off him a one-year extension to his current deal, but this remains a rumour for now.

So I ask all those reading this:

He is a good coach we respect that. But i can only support him if he will change the policy of youth and bring back Arsenal to winning ways.

I would like to see him leave the club after this season only. It’s like that Elvis song “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling”, Wenger has lost the winning feeling we need trophies and for that we need winners, and as much as it hurts me to say but truth is Wenger is no longer the winner

I would like him to stay till his last breath. Thank you Arsene for all the beautiful football, the wonderful stadium, and the love you obviously share for our club.

And for the socialistic wage structure which is still a big problem / and the buying of inadequate players and selling stars who gave up on his Grand Plan / and the treatment as mere Yes Men of experienced ex defenders who have actually done it / and the ruination of those whom he played out of position and who are now worth jack shit / and the one dimensional game plan with nil variable tactics / and the imbalance between attack and defence or technique and power / and … one could go on.

He is only comparable to fergerson in this era and should stay beyond 2014.he needs to strengthen without doubt and ship out most of the flops we have had of late-no need to name them anyway.next season smiles are coming back to yo gooners!alios.

No, Ferguson has continued achieving …. Wenger has NOT !! Why ? Because he no longer has the ready made defence which he inherited.

  • Ola says:

Wenger need to stay… I wont mind us missing out on champs league… I think we need to lose our top4 trophy this time so we can regroup… CL wats there for us except money(looking at d way we played a relegated team yestday)… Players wont join us because we ar in CL they’ll rather if we look to av a direction…

    • Chris says:

Regroup …. FFS we needed that some years ago while Wenger refused to change his ways and take advice from anybody at all but himself. Least of all Pat Rice or Steve Bould !! They have both played more top football than Wenger has had hot dinners but he has treated both as Yes Men.

    • Me says:

What a brainless post. If we fail to qualify for CL football then we lose about 45 million in revenue and will not be able to attract the kind of player that we need to “regroup”. Idiotic post from an idiot..

  • Me says:

Wenger ran out of ideas years ago to be brutally honest. I cannot see him changing his approach this summer which means unproven players from the French League making up our “summer spending spree” and more contracts to players who should never have been signed in the first place. In short, Arsenal have to ask themselves do they want to fight it out for fourth every season or do they want to actually achieve success and if they want success then Wenger has to go..
