‘We will have to sell him, if he does not sign a new deal’

|

Son Heung-MinHamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen has hinted that the German club could look to sell Son Heung-Min in the summer if the forward refuses to sign a new deal at the end of the season.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the South Korea international, whose contract at Hamburg expires at the end of next season’s campaign.

Arnesen says Hamburg officials are in talks with the 20-year-old over a new deal but admits they could lose his services in the summer.

Speaking to German sports newspaper Bild, Chelsea’s former head talent scout said:

‘Heung-min Son is under contract with our club and we are talking to him about signing a new contract.

‘Obviously we will have to sell him, if he does not sign a new deal with our club!’

Known for his technical ability, quick feet and movement off the ball, Heung-Min has been in good form for Hamburg this season, netting 11 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances so far.

Arsene Wenger way may well dip into the market for a striker at the end of the season, despite acquiring Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud last summer.

Saw him recently in a game against Hoffenheim or was it Mainz, nothing special really. A bit like Adebayor: hot and cold, more often than not cold. We need proper strikers, not just one we are stuck with when he is injured/suspended.Look at Giroud? He is fine boy who will get better and better- I mean 17 goals in the first season is brilliant to say the least.

Even if Fergie were to stay ,it aint going to be easy for him.Liverpool’s stranglehold on the old Div 1 was broken and they have been drifting in the wilderness. It’s different scenario with rf. He has tons of money to get the best players.
His craving to dominate in the cl could not be achieved. I believe if he were to stay on until he ie 99 ,he wont be able to do it .
Now with funds coming in,Wenger better go for top, top, top quality who can make an impact immediately and not wc kids who may fail as with the many kids gone to other clubs.
Wenger has got to win the last two games. Failure is not an option if he wants to lead the gunners to challenge.
