Major blow for Arsenal as striking target agrees terms with Juve

|

gonzalo higuainSpanish football expert Kay Murray believes Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain is close to joining Juventus, having agreed terms with the Serie A champions.

The 25-year-old has already been told by the Real Madrid hierarchy that he can leave the club this summer, with Arsenal and Juventus reportedly interested in signing the Argentine.

Arsene Wenger is thought to be keen on strengthening his strike-force this summer and reports suggest the Frenchman has targeted Higuain, who netted 17 goals in 46 appearances in total this season, as a potential recruit.

But, according to Murray, it seems Higuain’s representatives have already spoken to Juventus about a summer move to the Serie A club and have even agreed terms.

Murray told talkSPORT:

‘The latest news is that he and his brother Frederico [his agent] has spoken to Juventus and they’ve agreed terms, if it’s to go ahead.

‘Now it’s obviously up to Real Madrid what happens.

‘But it looks like Higuain is keen to go to Juve, if he goes anywhere, which is a shame because it would be great to see him in England.

‘But I do think he would fit in well in Serie A.’

It is believed that a transfer fee of around £22 million would be enough for Real Madrid to sell Higuain, who still has three-years left to run on his current deal at the Bernabeu.

So if Wenger is interested in bringing the Argentine to The Emirates then he better pull his finger out and make a move for him ASAP!

Why does everybody keep quoting interest in Higuain, Falcao or Bendeke etc, these are just names plucked out of the air by bad journo’s. Who has AW said he is interested in signing? Nobody is the answer. We will all know when a deal is done and not before.

9 years without a trophy? What difference does that make. The beauty of the game is that by august well be looking forward not back.Mind you they should ideally have all their transfer business concluded by mid june so that we can work as a unit from the start of pre season

He would’ve flop in the EPL! He is too soft from all that Spanish food.

  • TT says:

Fans are brainwashed by this 9 years without a trophy rubbish.

Only Liverpool and Manchester United have endured periods of time where 9 years without a trophy is unusual. Apart from Liverpool in the 80s and United in the last decade 9 years is fairly normal at any club, big or small.
