Continue with Szcz or bring back Fabs? (not Cesc)

|

Wojciech SzczesnyOnly two games left to play but Arsene Wenger has to decide whether to continue playing the revitalised Wojciech Szczesny or redeploy the returning Lukasz Fabianski.

Szczesny recaptured his place in the side after Fabianski picked up a knock in late March, starting Arsenal’s last four Premier League games, keeping three clean sheets and conceding one. Needless to say, the Pole has responded magnificently after being omitted from the side after the defeat to Spurs in March.

But Wenger praised Szczesny’s recent form, especially his performance against QPR this past Saturday:

‘Wojciech’s save was great, it shows the importance of the goalkeeper. We needed him once against QPR and he got there.

‘Remy took the shot very well and it needed a special save. Honestly, I thought it was in. It looks like Szczesny has got his confidence back.

‘I must give him credit because he has responded very well (from being dropped). When he came back into the team, he was sharper than when I left him out.

‘I expected that reaction. That’s what I have seen with people like [David] Seaman and [Jens] Lehmann when I took them out of the team, they came back stronger. He has done that well, he’s in a good frame now.’

However, Fabianski is set to be available for selection for the last two games against Wigan and Newcastle, which will leave Wenger with a tough decision to make – drop the goalkeeper who has been brilliant in recent weeks or reinstate the shot-stopper who done well before being ruled out through injury.

So what should Wenger do?

Personally, I would stick with Szczesny for the last two games as bringing back Fabianski may disrupt the dynamics of the side.

owing to the significance of the game and fabianski’s well documented ‘ fragile mind’ it will be too much of a risk to have him between our posts in the most critical games that can essentally ruin our season which so far has been mediocre to say the least .lets stick with sceszney .hope wenger reads this !!!!.

How Flappyhandski and Manone have been paid in line with Schzeszney at £50k per week (£2.5m per year) only Wenger can possibly understand. We should have paid up for a mature top flight keeper long ago. Without bad injuries they can play till about 40 and can certainly help develop younger keepers.
