According to Spanish publication Sport.es., Arsenal HAVE reached a preliminary agreement with Real Madrid to sign striker Gonzalo Higuain at the end of the season.
The Argentina international has been told by Real Madrid’s general manager Jose Angel Sanchez that he is no longer needed at the Bernabeu and the Spanish website claim Higuain has agreed a five-year deal to join Arsenal with the club shelling out around £18.6 million.
Despite a decent return of 14 goals in 17 La Liga starts this season, the 25-year-old has struggled to cement a first-team place since Jose Mourinho took charge of the Spanish giants, with the former Chelsea boss favouring Karim Benzema over the Argentine.
Higuain has spent seven seasons at Real, netting a total (to date) 118 goals in 263 appearances in all competitions.
If this reported deal has in fact been reached and Higuain is heading to Arsenal in the summer, then kudos to Arsene Wenger for the quickness of this transfer and splashing the cash!

true or not he would be a great addition to the club… With all the money we may possibly have at our disposal considering our stadium debt has been paid off he could be a gunner come august.
Are you crazy man ? Wenger would expect at least 3 players from the bargain basement of the French Leagues for that sort if money. If Wenger ever shells out that kind if money for 1 player, the Arsenal Board will call in a Doctor !
