Last week I read something about Salomon Kalou wanting to return to the Premier League which may put Arsene Wenger on red alert. I certainly hope not!
Kalou, who now plays his football in France for Lille, attracted the attention of Wenger when he was at Chelsea, with the Frenchman expressing his interest in the 27-year-old.
Kalou was quoted in The Sun a few days ago saying:
‘I’d love to go back to England.
‘I spent six seasons there and I am crazy about the Premier League.
‘Players’ careers change so quickly – you never know what will happen tomorrow.’
I for one really hope that Wenger doesn’t answer his call.
I don’t see what Kalou would/can offer us. Besides, we already have a lot of wingers at the club who are superior to the Ivorian, in my opinion.
Granted, he does have Premier League experience and has won things with Chelsea in the past, but I just don’t see why Arsenal would want to bring him in this summer when there are better options out there. I believe a move for Kalou would be a step in the wrong direction, purely for the reasons stated above.

Arsenal is full of below-average players now and the kind of additions we need now are world-class players, match winners, game changers….and not players like Kalou who is not even fit to be at stamford bridge.
