Out after just one season? No chance!

|

Lukas PodolskiSo after only signing for Arsenal last summer, Lukas Podolski is apparently set to depart, with Juventus and Atletico Madrid said to be interested in the German striker, according to The Sun.

The 27-year-old has netted 13 goals for us so far this season and is most certainly a fan favourite.

But it seems the Germany international has fallen out-of-favour with Arsene Wenger, with the Frenchman understood to be unhappy with the player’s work-rate. As a result, Wenger has dropped Podolski in Arsenal’s last three Premier League games.

The newspaper suggests Juventus are currently leading the chase and that Podolski would agree a move to Serie A.

A £15 million bid would reportedly be enough for The Gunners to consider selling the forward and would pocket a better weekly wage that he is currently receiving at The Emirates.

I don’t know how this rumour came about, but it is certainly a very poor one. Just because he has not featured for us in the last three games does not mean to suggest he is heading out of the door. If that were the case Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would have been gone months ago!!!

There is no chance in hell Podolski would leave us after just one year. Yes he has gone off the boil in recent weeks but he is certainly apart of our first-team plans.
