Let’s hope he’s not having us on

|

Andre SantosAndre Santos has probably made my week after recently admitting that he is willing to make his loan move from Arsenal to Gremio permanent at the end of the season.

As you can probably tell, I am not a Santos fan. The Brazilian left-back, if you can call him that, was thankfully loaned out to Gremio during the winter transfer window, which prompted Arsene Wenger to go out and sign Nacho Monreal, a full-back actually capable of playing four our prestigious club.

As a result of the winter arrival of Monreal and with Kieran Gibbs remaining our first-choice left-back, in my opinion, Santos will no longer manage to get a game in the side, unless of course the two aforementioned names pick up an injury or go AWOL!

The 30-year-old probably knows his time at Arsenal is up which is why he recently told Zero Hora:

‘I’ll do my best to win titles. I have won titles at every club I have played for.

‘The staff, board and the players have all made me feel very welcome. There is no doubt that I want to stay.’

Good riddance! Hopefully Gremio actually want him after his loan expires.
