Andre SantosSo Andre Santos has completed his end-of-season loan move to Gremio.

The 29-year-old left-back fell out-of-favour with and was heavily criticised by the majority of the faithful for his poor displays this season.

The Brazilian featured just 12 times in all competitions for The Gunners, starting just six games.

However, with sidelined until April and new signing being the only recognised left-back in the squad, was Wenger right to allow Santos to leave the club?

At first I thought it was a mistake to let him leave but after scouring the squad I think we will survive without him.

Despite Monreal being the only natural left-back currently fit in our squad, should the Spaniard pick up a knock we do have a few players amongst the ranks that can fill in. We have of course , who can play in this position, , who although is more effective in the midfield, showed in the past that he can play as a full-back, and is another option to consider.

To be honest, I would feel safer having one of those three aforementioned names in the side than Santos, that’s how bad the Brazilian has been for us!!! And Wenger obviously feels the same way.

Fact is, Santos is not a player who should be representing Arsenal. I wish him well but I don’t particularly want to see him come back to the club after his loan spell expires. Hopefully sign him on a permanent basis after.

Has Wenger taken a risk by letting Santos leave?

Santos was an example of sinning in haste only to repent at leisure

Don’t forget Jernade Meade – a skilful and tenacious left back as well. He should have been played ahead of Santos this season (well, he did a couple of times).
Only problem is that he’s injured at the moment.

No Santos cannot defend so I would play Wenger if front of him.

If he is in the team the opposition are like right lad’s the left happy days goals will follow.

Terrible buy between hima and Squllaci and f**king disgrace complete waste of money
