It looks like Arsene Wenger will have to set his sights on another forward this summer after Stephan El Shaarawy is set to sign a new deal at AC Milan which will see him commit his future to the Serie A side until 2018, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Wenger publicly admitted his admiration for the 20-year-old during the January transfer window, but no bid was launched.
The young Italian has been in superb form for the Rossoneri, netting 15 goals in 24 Serie A appearances, which led to speculation linking him with a move to England.
But it seems as if the young Italian will lay rumours to rest by agreeing a deal in principle that will keep him at the San Siro for another five seasons.
The Italian newspaper claims it would take a bid of at least £34.7 million for Milan to even consider selling the forward – If this proves to be true then you can forget about Arsenal making a bid for him, unless of course they change their transfer policy anytime soon.

First, it’s unlikely he’d really stay at Milan if he’s really decent enough.
Second, I don’t think he’s more than a passing fancy.
