Wenger to go back for Burkina Faso ace in the summer

|

alain traoreArsenal are plotting a summer swoop for Lorient’s Alain Traore, reports the Metro.

The Gunners are believed to have been tracking the versatile forward for several months now and were trying to sign the 25-year-old in the final days of the January transfer window but the move was called off after he suffered a thigh injury in the African Cup of Nations.

But it seems Arsene Wenger is eager to land Traore, who is contracted to Lorient until 2016, and is expected to try again when the summer window opens for business.

Lorient are understood to want up to £5 million to even consider selling the Burkina Faso star, who has netted six goals in 13 Ligue 1 appearances so far this season.

Before making his move to Lorient in 2012, Traore has played for Planete Champion, Auxerre, and was loaned out to Brest in the 2008/09 season,

His career total, excluding his Lorient stats mentioned earlier, stands at 25 goals in 92 appearances for the three aforementioned clubs.

The person dismissing African players is kind of sick. He should know that Walcott, Chamberlain, Gibbs, Diaby and Cocqueline are all black and the fact that they are playing for European countries doesnt make them white.
