Why this would be a foolish idea to consider

The Sun reckons Arsenal could send out on loan until the end of the season.

If this is to be believed and is seriously contemplating loaning out the young right-back then it would be one of the most foolish moves in recent times.

Jenkinson produced some great performances for us when was sidelined through injury at the start of the campaign. However, the England international has not featured as much in the side since Sagna’s return, leaving many Gooners out there frustrated with Wenger for dropping the youngster when he was in good form.

Wenger has always preferred to send out his youngsters on loan in order to gain first-team experience rather than them play Reserve team football and make cameo appearances in the first-team. And with Jenko not getting a look whilst Sagna remains fit, I wouldn’t be surprised if Le Boss considers loaning out the promising right-back to another club for the remainder of the season.

However, I believe this would be a rather daft idea.

Sagna is playing nothing short of atrocious since his return to the first-team and if Jenkinson were to leave on a temporary basis we would have no cover option, should the Frenchman pick up another knock from now until the end of the season.

Personally, I think Jenkinson should have never been dropped from the side. He was playing superbly and arguably one of our best performers at the start of the season.

Even if he doesn’t manage to get into the side, Jenkinson needs to stay put and challenge Sagna for that right-back position, as he is very capable of doing so, with the France international performing appallingly at present.

Agreed. Doesn’t partner well with Walcott and very inconsistent performances.

Sagna is too slow thinking and moving. At fault with last 4 goals.
Does not block out his opponent, is too slow chasing him, and has no anticipation of the right decision taking to help his fellow defenders.
As for attacking, well what is the point, I’ve seen park players who can centre better!

Wenger will always favour the flopping french over any other nationality…sagna plays like he’s doing ballet and gets humiliated, but retains his place…gervinho who comes from the french league needs buscopan for that running tummy he has everytime he touches the ball, but he still plays….giroud…oh my, im still failing to see the quality…yet, 2 seasons ago, we had chanes at mata, hazard…nope..they not french…Ba scores on debut, but Wenger doesnt see that, just that he’s the same player as giroud…so why cant giroud score and assist like ba? French players

Funny that…I seem to remember a few French players by the names of Pires, Vieira, and Henry. They weren’t any good were they??? Yes, you can say that’s in the past, but so is the time where we are ahead of the game in so far as scouting the targets that Arsene REALLY wants (Mata, Hazard) just to name a couple of them. I hate so many of our fans, it’s not even funny.
