Arsenal are tracking PSG youngster Hervin Ongenda, according to reports in the French capital.

Despite making his professional debut against Arras in the French Cup over the weekend, Ongenda, 17, is yet to sign a professional with the Ligue 1 outfit, with his current youth deal set to expire in the summer. Meaning interested clubs could sign the attacking midfielder/forward on a free if he does not commit his future to PSG.

Le Parisen claims Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all keeping tabs on the youngster, with a view to acquire him on a free in six months time.

Felix Ongenda, the father of the young Frenchman, says his son has not thought about his future, but admits he is aware of the possibility of leaving PSG at the end of the season.

When asked about his son’s future, Ongenda senior said:

‘My son did not ask this kind of question.

‘He only thinks of being on the pitch and dreams in Paris. It is the only club he has known and we will see what PSG offer him in the next few months.’

He added:

‘But in five months time he will have finished his training and he will be a finished product, ready to work anywhere.’

Known for his dribbling skills, composure and agility, Ongenda will certainly be watched by Arsene Wenger, who is keen to sign and develop young talent into world-class players.

Its not younster the club needs, its top players. Southamption has supplied Arsenal with more players than there own Costly Academy has done such as Walcott,Ramsey(even if useless) and Oxide. Wengers academy has only produced two, Cole and mayb

I’m tired of hearing such news of wanting to sign young prospect when we have bunch of young players waiting for their time to showcase their talent. The likes of serge gnabry, thomas eisfeld, chuba apom, nico yenaris, jeane meade, chuks aneke, ryo miaichi, campbell, frimpong, ignasi miguel etc.

    So?

Arsenal track lots of players, possibly 100s, just because a scout or representative is seen somewhere does not mean anything.
