Gunners lose out…AGAIN!!

Image for Gunners lose out…AGAIN!!

Another bitter blow was dealt to Arsene Wenger and co. after Yann M’Vila signed for Russian outfit Rubin Kazan in midweek.

The France international was reportedly being chased by Arsenal, Tottenham and newly QPR.

However, from seemingly out of nowhere, Rubin managed to strike a deal – reportedly worth £8.5 million – with Rennes for the Frenchman.

Rennes, who currently sit fifth in Ligue 1, confirmed the signing through a statement which read:

‘Stade Rennais, FC Rubin Kazan and Yann M’Vila have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of the French international. After meeting the traditional medical visit, the Rennes midfielder joined officially on Wednesday evening, the Russian club.’

So Mohamed Diame, who was reportedly on Wenger’s radar, wants to stay at West Ham and M’Vila, who most Arsenal fans wanted to see come in this January transfer window to bolster the midfield department, moved to Russia…great…

The man, who would have been a perfect acquisition for our club in my opinion, went to Rubin, and for just £8.5 million as well! That’s a p*ss take and is quite frustrating to take in really.

Can’t see Wenger bringing anyone in this January to be honest.

We didn’t want him, and nobody else in the PL did. He blew it for himself.
Losing out on Mbiwa was annoying (although I’m sure there are reasons for that one too), but it’s more clear in this case.

Lose out again?!?! You pleb. Who told you we tried to get him. You’re just recycling the rubbish that other brainless bloggers are spewing. Give us something half decent to read……..if you can!

i agree with you mate. this useless blog spend more time slagging off the manager than actually posting quality stuff. And also posting crap rumours that are baseless. We didn’t lose out on that player coz wenger wasn’t interested in him all along. So blaming the coach for a decision a player makes is just pathetic. Go to writing school or something and improve your Research work.

Don’t think we lost out on m’vila we had plenty of chance to get him and didn’t suggesting that continued speculation about him wasn’t based on anything real. We are always hearing we lost out on players and i bet that most of the time we weren’t even in for them in first place. People love to find negatives about arsenal and stories about not being able to get players get a lot of hits!

I do remember the rumours in Aug 2011 that we had put in a last day bid for Mvila for 30mil, although it seems a bit hard to believe, even if Rennes confirm now they did receive an offer for 28m.

Wenger has been burnt by a few bad boys at the club, namely Ade, Nasri, RVP, Bentley, Owusu-Abeyei, Bothroyd, Pennant, etc, and I can understand why he’s avoiding a bloke who without a shred of doubt is a trouble risk.

Why is everyone having a go at the author of the article?
Truth is it is Wengers back room staff who are tasked with putting there rumours out to fool the arsenal fans.
Just as they have done meticulously this January transfer window.
Now Wenger has the nerve with a couple of days of the transfer window left to say there’s no one good enough out there to play for our team???? Is this f****** guy crazy ????
Anyone right now is better than the average players we have in our team right now. Wenger the W****r is nothing more than an accountant for the club. He is the 1 & only manager in the world in the history of football who dosent spend to strengthen his team. He is dilusional about crap players like Diaby & Ramsey. He has f****d up the gunners in the last 8 years & the best signing arsenal will ever make is a new manager

  • Arsenabout says:

    MISSED OUT……?

This lad is poison! He was nothing but an asshole at his last club. Whilst he is a good player, he doesn’t fit Arsenal and I am sure since his antics last year Arsen had no interest.

Perhaps you should make up something more believable next time you decide to write an article. It must be tough, but go find some real news.

  • Gunner says:

We didnt want him. Aside from the rumours about his personality, he’s too slow and immobile for a shielding type midfielder

Unfortunately I am a die hard Gooner who happens to live in Asia. I can read AW like a book. He will not sign anyone. It is all but a drama between AW and the Board who is fucking money minded. Can’t you all see that he is using West Ham Game not to sign new players. Walcott is a new signing, Jack and Diaby is another. Podolski is on form and so is Carzola and Ramsey. We can match any top team. That’s his excuse. I am sorry but you fucking Londoners are not helping me either. I have been crying for help to boycott 3 home games since the opening of the transfer market. A less than half filled stadium would send the message to AW and the board to act. DO IT FUCKING LONDONERS and I will respect you. PEOPLE’S POWER. I absolutely agree with TITO. The best signing Arsenal can make is new Manager. Sack the ECONOMIST and bring an experienced Coach

It’s really no wonder that amid such “blows” Wenger takes it so easy and doesn’t buy anyone… Even if he did, the media would always come up with enough “blows” to twist a success into a failure.

Arsenal are not looking for a defensive troublemaker – if anything, they need someone who could deputise for Arteta or Diaby, but Wenger has an answer there, too, with Coquelin finally showing his worth, Wilshere back at full steam, and Ramsey still in the ranks.

I think he’s willing to take the risk of not buying anyone because he really believes the current squad is sufficient for a top 4 challenge – in all truth, it would be sufficient for a title challenge if it wasn’t for that dreadful pre-Christmas slump…
