Arsenal starlet appears on Ipswich’s radar

|

Thomas EisfeldIpswich Town are keen to sign Arsenal youngster Thomas Eisfeld on loan for the remainder of the season, according to several reports on the web.

Eisfeld, who joined The Gunners from Borussia Dortmund for around £500k, has shone for the Reserve side this season, netting eight goals and creating two goals along the way, and impressed immensely in his only senior appearance to date in Capital One Cup against Reading back in October.

However due to his limited opportunities, it is understood Arsene Wenger is willing to let the 20-year-old German midfielder go out on loan to gain first-team experience, experience.

Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy is understood to be looking to add a creative midfielder to his side before the end of the month, as they are currently the lowest scoring outfit in the Championship with 29 goals scored in 29 games.

With Eisfeld not in Wenger’s first-team plans this season, the youngster should push the Frenchman to make this move happen.
