Lazio keen on Arsenal forward

Lazio are interested in Andrey Arshavin, according to The Sun.

The 31-year-old Russian forward has fallen out-of-favour at The Emirates and has reportedly been told by Arsene Wenger he can leave the club for around £4 million this month.

Arshavin’s current contract expires in the summer and with no signs of a new deal visible and starting just two games for The Gunners so far this season, which both came in the Capital One Cup, it looks highly likely if he is not sold this month then he will leave the club on a free in the upcoming summer.

Reading are also believed to be interested in the Russian international, but have yet to make a bid for the diminutive forward.

If we can recoup some cash, even if it is just £4 million, from Arshavin’s sale this month then great.

I personally don’t want to see him leave, but he is not being played and is behind a few players in the pecking order now. So it’s probably best for the club and the player to part ways.

arshavin is much better than ramsey. Give arshavin chanve to control the midfield. Sell ramsey, even if he has signed 20 years contract.

Yeah cos that makes sense. Sell Ramsey who’s still in early stages of his career at 22 maybe with maybe 3 years to go till he peaks.
A player that can comfortably operate at CM, DM, RM and ATM and replace him with Arshavin. A player in the basement stage of his career at 31. A player who cant make runs or dribble or take the ball past anyone any more and who only plays well whilst operating in ONE POSITION the Santi Cazorla role. Which is clearly not up for grabs.

Plus! do you really think Arshavin was the boss at 22? NO he wasn’t. He was in fact 25yrs old before he started to show promise and 26yrs old before anyone took notice.

      Give Ramsey a break

Arseblog says Arshavin rejected a loan move to Reading. I can’t fault him there, he’s WAAY too good for a team that’s most certainly going to be relegated.

Andrey Arshavin going to Lazio is Simply Fantastic. It’s a shame it never completely worked out, but blame Arsenal, the players, the fans, and of course Arsene Wenger. Right when Arsenal loses Arshavin, they’ll fail, Miserably. Arshavin will score a lot of goals for Lazio, and win them a lot of games, and even The Serie Title.
