Arsenal are keeping tabs on QPR’s Julio Cesar, according to The Sun.

The Gunners are thought to be looking for a goalkeeper to challenge Wojciech Szczesny for the gloves and have reportedly targeted the Brazilian shot-stopper as a potential signing.

The 33-year-old goalie made the shock switch to Loftus Road last summer after spending seven years with Inter Milan, where he won 14 trophies with the Italian side, including five Serie A titles and one Champions League

Inter Milan were eager to get Cesar off the wage bill and, surprisingly, the Brazil international chose to join relegation-threatened QPR.

However, QPR now need to get rid of either Cesar or Robert Green due to their high wages, with the former becoming a vital figure to the club’s relegation fight.

Cesar, whose current contract with Rangers expires in the summer of 2016, has kept three clean sheets in 15 Premier League appearances.
