Is Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha all that? [have your say]

I’m hearing rumours circulating around the media and Twitter that Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha will become an Arsenal player next week.

The 20-year-old forward has been heavily linked with a move to The Emirates in January and will make the switch, with the England international being sent back to Selhurst Park on loan until the end of the season, according to reports.

So if reports are to be believed and Zaha will sign for The Gunners next week – if he hasn’t already – would you be happy with this acquisition?

A lot of people that I’ve spoken to believe the youngster would be an excellent signing for the club and although he looks a talent, from what I’ve seen, I just don’t see where he will fit in to the starting line-up.

If he has signed for Arsenal, or on the verge of doing it, then he must be coming in to replace Theo Walcott, who has yet to sign a new deal. This is the only possible reason for this signing.

He possesses great dribbling skills, pace and athleticism. But is he the man to strengthen our squad?

Let me know what you guys think of this. Would love to get your views on the Crystal Palace starlet.

as theo has decided he wants to be a striker it leaves space for another winger hence zaha. if we sign him arsenal will own half the future england team which can only be good news for england and afc. 1 of the reasons why spain and barcelona are soo good is because half of spains team play together at barca or even real madrid which afc and england are emulating. english football owes alot of credit to wenger even though hes not our favourite guy right about now.

If Walcott goes and Zaha replaces him,is there any guarantee he will equal Theo’s ability?Bear in mind Zaha is a big fish in the championship pond. The epl is an ocean with many big fishes.

Another flash in the pan.Walcott,Ramsey, the Ox and shell shocked Jenkinson are all flash in the pans and the main reason why Arsenal are a midtable team. The current 4th position is a fluke and a lie. They dont deserve to be 4th.

I aint see zaha as a quality player to replace theo! He is seen as a flashery young player who his yet to açtualise his talent, i guess he may be a good signing but need plenty to learn.

  • Ideas wont work unless we do, so let's give him the chance to proof himself (zaha). says:

I don’t see zaha leaving palace this year and don’t like the way that over team are tapping him up, he’s stil a palace player till he leaves.

zaha is of course a great player,i looked at him and saw lots of henry in him,he’s 20 and in over a year n 6 months he might start for england at the world cup finals,he’s technically beter than theo at 20,he will be the next big name at arsenal,he’s shooting ,dribbling, decision making skills is spot on for a champion ship player,i might be wrong, but when i saw jack wilsher running circels around veira against inter in the emirates cup,i know we had a new star.

    I think he’ll be a perfect replacement for walcot….BB pin: 273FAA64

it will be hard to do better. plus, he’s english and an ARSENAL SUPPORTER. hard to find an english player like him.
not sure how we will play him. he looks like a natural winger or striker.
His game against man united was very good.
    I hope its true.

  • ST says:

Nobody would know where he fits in since Wenger usually decides where players will play.

Strikers become wide players, wide players become strikers and attacking players become defensive ones (Arteta).
