Has his time at Arsenal come to an end?

|

Following the club’s 2-0 home loss to Swansea yesterday afternoon, Arsene Wenger has told the Arsenal boo-boys he will not quit his job.

The Gunners were booed off after yet another flat performance and poor result, which has left them sitting in 10th place in the Premier League, and some fans seem to have had enough.

Wenger is now in the firing line after only managing to pick up 21 points in 15 league games, thus recording his worst start to a season since taking over the club in 1996.

At the start of the current campaign the Frenchman said he would know when the time was right to step down from his position, but insists that time has not yet come.

And despite the fans growing increasingly restless and protesting against the club’s board before yesterday’s match, Wenger insists the best way to overcome the problem is to stick together.

When asked if the time was right to step down from his post, Arsene replied:

‘Not at all. You make your assessment at the end of the season.

‘I know there is a lot of unrest but it’s a good opportunity to stick together and show we are a strong club.

‘Of course it hurts but I am not so much worried about the placings. I believe its important is to get the quality of our game back. That is much more important.’

So after a poor run of form and enduring his worst start to a campaign since his arrival and possibly finishing outside the top four this season, should Wenger truly consider resigning? If so, when?

none of the Teams that Stan Kroenke owns have ever won anything. They exist to make money for him these teams which includes the Denver Nuggets of the NBA, Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer, Colorado Avalanche of the NHL, Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League and St. Louis Rams of the NFL.
We at Arsenal are in the same situation. Wenger has the board in his pocket and money to think he will resign or go away. But also remember this is his last season with the club and it is best he goes away after this season.
I would prefer someone like David moyes who has operated on a shoe string budget but made the best out it at Everton.
If wenger can listen which he will not, the formation of the team has also to change.
in conclusion, the owner is a problem, the board is a problem, the coach is a problem, and us fans are screwed…hopefully in the Summer we can get a new ambitious coach with a hunger to win.

Quite right. You too have looked up the sound financial management and mid table performance of Kroenke’s various North American clubs. He (and/or his son) milks the loyalty of the fan bases.

I was thinking about players and their money last night I thought that maybe arsenal should capitulate and start paying exorbitant wages but then I realized that the Swansea team that hammered us yesterday featured a left back whose basic ,wage is £400 a week. Most of the cavalier Dortmund players would bite your hand off for£80 grand a week.Arsene Wenger needs to utilise the resources at his disposal more effectively.Ps I hope that doesn’t include replacing the brilliantScezney with pepe reina as has been trailed in some of the tabloid press

    its simple.
    wenger has fail.

and the club is not being run as great as people think, letting players go on there last year of a contract that should not happen.

give playing 50-80k a week to players that dont play
our wage bill is one of the highest yet most of our playerd are avrage.

as a club now no big playerd would want to come to we offer no big player nothing, not money or trophys.

and yes stan kronkie is a bussenes man
to him not investing in the club yet the club still being in the top 4 making moneyt thats perfect for him.

Come January Wenger better start throwing cash to buy some quality players. The present squad aint good enough. If nothing is done, and he carries on as usual rest assured getting the cl spot could be a big, big, big problem.
Then assuming the gunners can’t get the cl qualification, throwing millions won’t get it back. Maybe the gunners will have to spend trillions. All this could have been avoided if the gunners had just taken the necessary action.
    For confirmation,just look at Liverpool.
