West Ham are interested in aqcuring Marouane Chamakh on loan in January, according to the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old forward, who arrived at Arsenal from Bordeaux on a free transfer in 2010, has fallen out-of-favour at The Emirates and as such has become surplus to requirements.
The Morocco international has yet to feature in the Premier League this season for The Gunners, making just his four appearances in cup competitions (two as a starter), and was heavily linked with a move away from the club last winter and during the previous transfer window in the summer.
And although former club Bordeaux and Serie A outfit Fiorentina have shown interest in Chamakh’s services, it is believed the misfiring striker wants to remain in England.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing West Ham’s Mohamed Diame.
The Senegal midfielder is currently out injured with a hamstring injury but could leave the East London club for as little as £3.5 million due to a clause in his contract.
If both reports are to be believed and both clubs are indeed interested in the player’s mentioned above then perhaps a swap deal could be on the table next month.

I hate Arsene Wenger – no ambition, no stomach for taking a chance and whining when we frequently fail to win. The most reviled man in world football..

If we could get Chamakh some game time in a team that suits him it might reignite his desire to prove himself at arsenal.Failing that he must go permanently to free up a place in the squad.Diame has done ok at West Ham but he’s hardly been outstanding, anyway they’ve had him playing in an advanced position on the left where I believe we’re reasonably well served just now.We need a match ready international class holding midfielder and we need one as soon as possible
