On paper should find themselves in the hat for the next round, given the league placings between the two sides, but cup football doesn’t always go to plan and the Gunners will have to be extremely professional in their performance to get a result at Valley Parade tonight.

Don’t worry if you can’t watch the game as you can follow all the action here tonight on Gunnersphere’s LIVE blog.

While our form has been patchy at best this season – a loss tonight cannot be contemplated and would heap more pressure on .

Lets hope, like the last round, we can look forward to a great cup tie full of drama, goals and controversy and you can catch every single minute of it below with us and our parent site Football FanCast.

What a Pathetic shambles either spend the money or Wenger must go because at the moment he is staining his legacy and it’s upsetting me as an Arsenal fan.

Wenger won’t resign, he will see his contract out till 2014. And the Directors won’t have the balls to sack him. They have hardly one Board who knows his football anyway. When he eventually does go or retire or whatever …. it will be a long, long job for the next Manager to change Arsenal’s ways …. ie. Wenger’s ways.

As annoying as last nights reverse was, these things do happen ib cup football. However gervinho needs to go and soon and Podolski needs to pull his finger out starting on Monday at Reading. They have four eminently winnable games in a row over the Christmas so if they have any pride in themselves as professionals they will play like madmen to redeem themselves.Wenger should have stuck to his normal policy as regards the Carling cup, by playing that mob he’s done nooner any good least of all himself
