Arsenal have been linked with a move for PSG’s Marco Verratti, and may be forced, if indeed they are interested in the Italian, to step up their interest after Juventus registered their keenness on the 20-year-old.
The youngster has been compared to his favourite player and Juventus playmaker Andrea Pirlo and, despite no goals to his name, has shone for the mega-rich Ligue 1 side since his summer switch from Italian minnows Pescara.
TalkSPORT report Verratti and Carlo Ancelotti, who is under increasing pressure and could be sacked by the PSG hierarchy, have a healthy relationship. And, despite signing a five-year contract just six months ago, may look to depart if his current manager is shown the door.
Chelsea have also been linked with the 5’5’’ Italy international. But Juve apparently look frontrunners for his signature at present.
However, Arsenal are known for nurturing raw talent and the youngster could well be tempted by this prospect.
