If you believe what the Daily Mail reports then will demand to become Arsenal’s highest-paid player if he decides to join them next month.

Huntelaar has been heavily tipped to make the move to The Emirates, with former Holland international turned TV Pundit , whose agent Arnold Oosterveer represents the 29-year-old, claiming The Gunners are favourites to land him in the winter transfer window.

However, the prolific striker will want a basic minimum wage starting at £100,000-a-week.

Given his age, his representatives and the player himself know this will be his final big contract of his career. And with every agent, they will try to negotiate the best deal for their client as well as to line their own pockets in the same time.

I think Arsenal’s current top earners are and , who, I’m guessing, both pocket around £90,000-a-week, and with seemingly unwilling to give the same amount that Huntelaar wants, it is hard to envisage why he’d offer it to the experienced Dutch forward this January.

If the Frenchman does offer £100,000k-a-week to Huntelaar, then it would be seen nothing more than a slap in the face to Walcott.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see what occurs as time progresses.
