Would you like to see this Dutch striker sign for Arsenal in January? [poll]

So looks set to depart Schalke in January and are reportedly ‘favourites to land him’ the Holland international.

The 29-year-old has managed to net nine goals in 18 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga side so far, including two against The Gunners in both of their two Champions League Group Stage meetings this season.

Huntelaar’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and with no signs of renewing his stay at Schalke, the Dutch striker appears to want a new challenge, and seems keen on a move to Arsenal in January – if recent reports are to be believed of course.

His current manager, Horst Heldt, claims the rumours of the player leaving Schalke are rubbish and unless a bid is lodged then Huntelaar will remain at the Veltins-Arena, with the forward suggesting he ‘knows nothing’.

Reports imply Huntelaar can be acquired for around £6 million this winter, a sum which will no doubt have tinkering over.

So taking all this into consideration, would you like to see the former Ajax, AC Milan and Real Madrid forward at The Emirates this winter?

Are u kidding me? I’d dropkick my mom over london bridge to land that guy. He is REALLY good, a bit old yea but who cares? He looks like a kid (Chucky the killer doll look alike anyone?), so ill just pretend he’s 18 if his age ever bothers me

Ok so he scored a goal against us. He is also another player with no speed. Plus he is divisive … like he ” should have been in the Dutch team instead of RVP.” PLus Plus … at his age he will get no better … soon he’ll be less good than he is now.

I think u could say almost all of those things about vanpussy too, but I bet u wouldn’t be too upset if we could get him back for less than 10mill. Aniways the bottom line is we need goals dude, and there arn’t many guys around who can get u those better than hunter

When we lost RvP we need another striker who can score 20 goals pr season. Giroud can’t manage to score as that many i think. RvP is not here anymore we need another flying dutcmen.

@Beje are u God who knows tomorrow? If they told you RVP won’t be injured last season will you believe not to talk of scoring 30goals a season? If Giroud maintains this form he hit 30goals too. Huntelaar is not needed when we have walcott, all we need are true wingers on both left and right which will make us stop playing our strikers out of position like pushing poldy wide and walcott when they are natural finishers. Then a replacement for Santos at Left back, and to put icing on the cake, the surplus players are released and add Fellaini from everton to the squad. With this we will win everything…COYG!!!
