Wenger HAS officially lost it!!!

|

If you are still one of those fans who don’t believe Arsene Wenger hasn’t lost it, then his latest comments will certainly make you reconsider your stance.

Following their latest joke result against Fulham at The Emirates last Saturday, The Gunners now sit a massive 11 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United in eighth place. But Wenger believes his side are still title contenders! Which will undoubtedly raise a few eyebrows.

In their last six Premier League games, Arsenal have only managed to accumulate seven points from a possible 18, losing to both Chelsea and Manchester United and dropping crucial points to the ‘lesser’ sides of the league.

However, Wenger and, I would think, a small group of Arsenal fans remain optimistic that they can be crowned England’s top club.

When asked whether his side can turn it around and push for the title in the second-half of the season, Wenger confidently said:

‘Of course, yes why not?

‘We had come through three difficult games, especially the first two. We had to recover from the United game and then we gave it all in Germany.

‘All of us were disappointed not to beat Fulham because we had the chances to do that and in the end we were frustrated, but there were many positives to take from the game. Our performances are not as big a disaster as some people like to portray them and I still have great belief in this team.’

I’m sorry to say this, but Arsenal will not be challenging for the title this season – no way, no how.

If anything, we’ll be struggling to make the top four by the looks of it.

We are simply too far behind, even at this early stage, and have dropped a lot of stupid points (Sunderland, Fulham and Norwich) already. I am an optimistic fan, but also a realistic one and I just can’t see this current side pushing for the title.

I know Wenger has to try and keep morale high and state that we can still win it to keep us believing. But, deep down, the Frenchman knows we haven’t got a chance.

This is of course my view on the matter – would love to know what you guys think

What a bunch of fake Arsenal fans
Now who the f do you think can carry Arsenal to greater things on such a small budget in these times of Endless cash hand outs by Man City n Chelsea? Support the team or go to bed with Rottenham as we true Gooners enjoy

    • ken lo says:

Well said Mosh, through thick and thin,a true gooner!!!

    • Madness says:

Such a small budget?! Gazidas has just been given a 2 million pounds salary, wenger is one of the highest payed managers in the world and for what? We finish well of the big teams every year and have been trophy less for 8 years! We pay the highest ticket prices in the uk and it goes straight into the men at the tops pockets! This isn’t a football club anymore it’s a business, the board see us as customers not supporters.

I want all of to know that, there is hope for Arsenal winning this league, just believe me, because every team has their Up and Down time, this is down time of Arsenal, which I believe they will come up soon
Let me remind you that there are time when Chelsea was topping the league when they were Hot butnow they are number 3 on the table which mean they have dropped their speed.

Never write off arsenal because they will still get up.

Every team that Silent Stan is involved in win nothing FACT!

Spending big wil not bankrupt Arsenal, this will allow them to compete properly, sponsorship deals will come increasing revenue. Everybody has a scouting network around the world unfortunately Arsenal’s wage structure means we have to pin our hopes on emerging talent instead of proven players.

Manure have spent money like its going out of fashion over the years and look at the trophy s and sponsorship deals they have! Yes the fans were unhappy about the level of debt but they soon went quiet when title number 19 turned up!

Until the board and AW get off the FFP bandwagon the Arsenal with be stagnant.
….. I’m just gutted that Arsenal are being left behind 🙁

    • mystic says:

Mate I suggest you go and look at the record books, your FACT isn’t correct.

I think Wenger has lost it and SS is a horrendous owner, but please make sure of your FACTS before putting in to print as it only gives AKBs an opportunity to get their heroes off.

      • OxonGooner says:

Can you clarify what his teams have won?

Sorry I should have mentioned a title of merit???

It’s difficult trying to get your point across without some degree of anger creeping in!

        Apologies !

        • guy says:

Silent stan owns the Denver Nuggets in the NBA and the St Luis Rams in the nfl which a two highly unsuccessful teams, and arsenal will follow suit if something is not changed

You don’t have to kill yourselves over this issue, for me both sides of the argument is right. Our team has been pathetic this days and we do need to spend to win something, the fans deserve that cos they are paying so much. At the same time sacking wenger is not the solution, he is one of the best coach hav ever seen, if not the best.

  • Samson Okpe says:

Some spineless gunners are praising wenger for his business prudent.Have wenger ever sold any player for 50 or 80million before?Even our shirt sponsorhip deal can’t match that of our rivals. So shut your crap about him being prudent.

  • Peter Atk says:

The for against wenger arguement can get quite emotional, so I’m going to try to make my point keeping things calm. Piers Morgan, a man who I’m not exactly fond of, actually made some great points on the subject of wenger on talksport radio. What would happen if arsene rang ferguson and asked to buy rooney? I can agree with him. How pathetic that fergie rung arsene and managed to convince him that selling our best player to a team we were ‘supposed’ to be challenging for the title with was a good idea. Pathetic. Also, now my own points, since wenger has been assembling his own type of back four, why has out defence been a shambles. Why throughout most of last season was the need for a defensive coach being talked about if our manager was so tactically astute. Why do we set up in the same way game after game after game, when we clearly don’t have the players necessary to play that way anymore. Why, when its so apparent to everyone he’s not cutting the mustard, has Ramsey been picked time after time. Why was our replacement for purstrings so easy for us to buy. Chelski made a half arsed effort to buy him and other than that it was only us! I like the man and have time for him but he hasn’t shown me he’s clinical enough, and even after all that were not even using him properly. Great management. Why when we had such a great little player in Arshavin did Wenger ruin his career by playing him out of position? Why is he doing the same with Podolski. Why don’t we study to oposition? Ok, it probably isn’t his fault player contracts have run down, samir na$ri was seemingly considered a dud before his breakout half-season which is why he was able to walk, but so many other problems right now ARE his fault. Like the wages chamakh and bedtner and the rest are on. I’ve always worried what could happen if we lost Wenger, now when I hear him saying he’s happy to finish in the champions league, that’s not a man with the same ambition as the won who turnt up 16 years ago, and I worry the derection we’re heading in with a manager that two years ago said he would take second for the next 20 years. What kind of ambition is that? I’m really starting to loose faith in Arsene, a lot of our troubles have coincided with the loss of David Dein, and I think David Dein had a lot to do with the early success of Wenger as well.

  • DocBrody says:

As far as I’m concerned Arsenal are contenders until they until they are mathematically eliminated. I know that’s overly optimistic, but that’s how I choose to live my life.

  • steve says:

@ shay. Malaga have lost their best players, but they are playing better football than us. Dortmund lose their best players every year. Its not about wenger not being given cash to spend,he just looks like he needs a refresher course in coaching. We were outplayed by schalke and fulham. Fulham lost dempsey and dembele, yet they look even better than last season. Fine we cant compete with city, chelsea and united, but fulham, norwich, stoke, sunderland? Come on,wenger has lost his edge and its sad but thats the way life is. I wish he could se what i see,we never make runs off the ball, the team has no real wingers, defenders watching the ball instead marking a man. All basic mistakes that should easily be rectified. Anyway,i hope he watches back the matches and instead of watching our play,he watches the opposition(fulham and schalke),maybe he can learn a thing or to about how to create chances. I really hope he figures out the problem, because one thing is certain,he will never ever be sacked!

    • Peter Atk says:

That’s the problem. He will never be sacked unless something huge happens. The even bigger problem is how right you are about how Wenger has lost his edge. He didn’t get us in to champs league last season, pursestrings did. He didn’t make the comeback from deaths door last season, pursestrings did. Well, we don’t have pursestrings no more, because Wenger was convinced by Fergie over the phone to sell him, someone Wenger says he wants to compete with?!!!!! PATHETIC. Now with no pursestrings, we’re seeing how Wenger has sunk.
