Wenger HAS officially lost it!!!

|

If you are still one of those fans who don’t believe Arsene Wenger hasn’t lost it, then his latest comments will certainly make you reconsider your stance.

Following their latest joke result against Fulham at The Emirates last Saturday, The Gunners now sit a massive 11 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester United in eighth place. But Wenger believes his side are still title contenders! Which will undoubtedly raise a few eyebrows.

In their last six Premier League games, Arsenal have only managed to accumulate seven points from a possible 18, losing to both Chelsea and Manchester United and dropping crucial points to the ‘lesser’ sides of the league.

However, Wenger and, I would think, a small group of Arsenal fans remain optimistic that they can be crowned England’s top club.

When asked whether his side can turn it around and push for the title in the second-half of the season, Wenger confidently said:

‘Of course, yes why not?

‘We had come through three difficult games, especially the first two. We had to recover from the United game and then we gave it all in Germany.

‘All of us were disappointed not to beat Fulham because we had the chances to do that and in the end we were frustrated, but there were many positives to take from the game. Our performances are not as big a disaster as some people like to portray them and I still have great belief in this team.’

I’m sorry to say this, but Arsenal will not be challenging for the title this season – no way, no how.

If anything, we’ll be struggling to make the top four by the looks of it.

We are simply too far behind, even at this early stage, and have dropped a lot of stupid points (Sunderland, Fulham and Norwich) already. I am an optimistic fan, but also a realistic one and I just can’t see this current side pushing for the title.

I know Wenger has to try and keep morale high and state that we can still win it to keep us believing. But, deep down, the Frenchman knows we haven’t got a chance.

This is of course my view on the matter – would love to know what you guys think

Your writing abilities are appalling… “those fans who don’t believe Arsene Wenger hasn’t lost it” and ” I am optimistic fan”….. either proof read or learn not to make these mistakes, it’s unprofessional and detracts from your argument.

Typical AKB (Ian). When they can’t defend Wenger they moan about spelling or grammar in order to take the focus away from the real issues.

It’s called a blog mate, the blogger isn’t writing for a tabloid newspaper.

      • Man says:

I’m frustrated with Wenger aswell for a number of reasons. But poor grammar and – worse still – the use of “AKB” are inexcusable.

        • Skeen says:

Guys, you are arguing over poor grammar rather than discussig the issue. Who cares if the author made some minor mistakes, the real issue is Wemger’s inability to win things and appease the fans. He has lost it by claiming we are still in the title race, and anyone who still believes he is the right man. for the job has lost it too. Great article by the way mate

What concerns me is the players. They follow the media and read this crap and must lose all respect for him or think he’s completely deluded. There must be a big disconnect between himself and the players and no player can be happy with these sorts of comments. By trying to hoodwink supporters he’s just making Arsenal a miserable place to work, with the best players always looking to leave. For that reason alone he needs to be sacked.

One thing Arsene has got is players on his side.

They never criticise him, always the “direction of the club” adding 2with respect to the fans and Arsene.”

The players treat him like a farther and RvP said he and Fergie are equal.

The problem is the spending of the board.

I dont know if they are being safe, cautious or ripping us off. However, Arsene is doing his best with the funds given him.

      Chelsea front 4 Hazard (£35m), Mata (£24m), Oscar (20 – 30m) and Torres (£50m)

      Arsenal front 4 Cazorla (£15m), Podolski (£12m), gervinho (£12m) and Girod (£12m)

      Thats the difference.

What stops us geeting favourable result against 16 other teams who spend much less. Some smaller team even play much more beautiful football. Which team has defender who scores around 5 own goal and conceeds about same number of red card, still praised as a good defender? Who else to blame other than AW?

  • bonaroca says:

Mr Wenger did the right thing to sign Arteta, but in my opinion is now a misfit in the team. Why?? because now every one is passing on the ball to Arteta who is actually slowing up the Arsenal game.

Arsenal have a good foward line in Walcott,
Casarole,Giraud, Podolosky and the Ox or Gervino
(who needs to pass the ball and not hang to it).

What Arsenal now need is a another Goalkeeper and a Viera type of player who could motivate and move the ball foward.

Passing the ball from one player to another give your opponent the chance to defend which then is more difficult to score when being a goal down.

With Arteta out and a experienced Viera type of player, Arsenal will be able to get the results to finish fourth.

  • Giles says:

Clearly the man has lost it. But this has been going on for a number of years now and he is still spitting out dribble. This man AW has taken a clubs and fans dreams of winning things to winning nothing. who has ever dreamed of 4th place arsene.

  • Tom says:

Of course Wenger doesn’t believe Arsenal can win the title this season. He only says it to motivate his players who are low on confidence. Arsenal are on track to finish 20 points behind the league winners again, as the did last, year and a year befor, and a year before that. Wenger must have realized that proclaiming publically that coming in fourth in the league would be treated on equal terms as winning a major trophy, was a kiss of death for his players confidence and ambitions. He is trying now to repair the damages his comments created.

    • Jed says:

Tom, it is not motivational to have a delusional boss, you just start thinking there is no hope of ever succeeding with this joker in charge. Why do you think our best players go/refuse to extend? He has proved season after season after season that he has lost the ability he once had to lead a trophy-winning team. It’s sad to see a once-great man sink to this. He has to go.

  • jay says:

He is taking us all for idiots. The same old diatribe pours out of him after every poor performance.he seems to have lost his tactical nous ,as well as losing power to lift his ailing team.It will all come to a head this season.Season ticket holders are already talking of not renewing next season. That long waiting list will soon disappear, unlees he either sorts it out or is sacked

  • seedron says:

Why the arguement…arsene has lost it since the lost of champions league final….guys sincerely arsene needs to be sack of arsenal will fall

  • Taiye oloruntoba says:

Arsene wenger and arsenal board of directors are not interested in winning trophies. All what they want is just to balance the books and shared the available profit. Get arsene and the board sacked, trophies will come.

  • ken lo says:

Just the same headline dross as last year when we were “relegation fodder and had no chance of finishing in the top six let alone the top four”.
All you anti-Wenger bloggers keep thinking you know better than the Prof but every year he proves you all wrong by finishing in top four MINIMUM!!!!!!!!!!
Sick and tired of people like Taiye and Seedron believing they know more about football than professional managers.
Please remember what Arsene keeps achieving…how the premier league has changed since City and Chelsea found their sugar daddies.
We live within our means to ensure the club does not end up like Rangers, Portsmouth etc etc..nothing to do with making profits for the board, owner or manager.
Anyway why shouldnt they look for a return on their investments, just like any of us would do…or do you give all your money away?
Join the real world lads, being a gooner isnt easy but it is a way of life through thick and thin.

    • Jed says:

Ken Io, you are missing out some of the details. Last season we got back into contention because of RvP’s goals, not Wenger’s tactics/coaching/motivation/leadership. You are also missing the small matter of the £200m of cash that has been generated from players sales and used to pay down debt rather than buy their replacements. What we are seeing on the pitch now is a team that won’t play for its manager. Sure we could do with better players but the ones we have would perform much better for a boss that organised and motivated them.

      • Max says:

And it wasn’t Wenger tactics to play RvP in the team. To play Walcott n Gerv n Song as suppliers to RvP. U all are just fairweather fans. Sing Arsene when we play well, sack Wenger when we are struggling. It’s not his fault d club’s policy is to sell players n no coach will do better. The problem is the team is always changing every season. Wenger was prepared to keep Nasri but the club refused. We need to play w d same team for a couple of seasons n we will do better. And yes we can win a trophy this season. U all r pathetic.

        • TrueGooner says:

So why didn’t he convinced the club to keep them? I’m not sure what tactics you are talking about. Wenger is not tactically minded but rather technical. You must also realize that we drop most points due to Wenger inability to make tactical changes when things are going wrong. His insisting that he only substitute on the 65 minutes even when the blind mice can see that a player is really having a bad day. His continues insistence on playing players out of position making them look useless, yet they shine for their country. His insistence on sticking with only one player until they are injured beyond repair leading to long term injuries before playing another.

    • Skeen says:

Ken Lo you are chatting s#it mate. Achieving a top four finish is not good enough for a club like Arsenal, especially when u consider where we were 10 years ago. Wenger out if he fauls to deliver a trophy this season

  • Rex says:

All I know is that come rain, come sunshine, I’ll always keep faith in Arsenal.
