While wants to play up front for Arsenal, team-mate wants him to stay on the wing and supply him with assists, according to the Sunday People.

Following Arsenal’s 5-2 victory over Spurs yesterday afternoon, Walcott came out and reiterated his desire to play up front for The Gunners.

However, Giroud, who has netted five goals in his last five games, which includes the one he got yesterday at The Emirates and a brace against Fulham last weekend, reckons Walcott would be better off out wide and has dubbed the England international as his ‘favourite supplier’.

The 25-year-old France international said:

‘Looking at the goals from last weekend it was another cross from my favourite supplier Theo. The more we play together, the better it is – and Theo always seems able to find me.

‘I know in the past Arsenal fans have moaned about the lack of crosses but hopefully my heading ability and height can give other options to the team.’

There is no doubt in my mind that Giroud will get better as time goes by. His off the ball movement, hold up play and aerial ability have added a new dimension to Arsenal’s attacking play, and that’s good to see as a fan. He is also starting to settle at the club and is forming a good understanding with both and Theo Walcott, especially with the latter of the two players mentioned.

For Giroud’s sake, it would be best for him if Walcott remains out on the wing. However, Theo wants to play up front and, from what we can gather, he isn’t putting pen to paper because he wants to be guaranteed that specific role by .

But with the current formation we have, I just can’t see this happening.

In any case, I’m glad to see Giroud has finally found his feet at Arsenal and hope he continues to impress and bag more goals.

I wouldn’t hurt to play both upfront although we would need a DM for that.

I have said it again and again, being number 10 doesn’t mean you just sit in the middle and wait for others to do for you and waste or try out your luck.

Modern football is about real team work everyone defending, creating, scoring and entertaining the supporters. So whether Walcott, Giroud or Podolski starts from the middle, they need to rotate to make it difficult to the opponent like the way Messi does. Is he a striker, winger or attacking mid fielder?

I have seen Bac and Spain playing without an outright striker and win matches without complain

@Ogura u’ve just spokn ma mind. Watz d big deal who’s central. 4 Christ’s sakes, Ronaldo n Messi r all false 9s n Spain don’t evn play conventional strykers eva since their 1 n only trustd stryka went rusty n David Villa had a brokn leg. Letz bring new dimension 2 attackin football where our 3 front men cn comfortably play in d 3 front roles. Datz wat i think.
