Arsenal have been told by Schalke to forget about signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in the winter transfer window, as the German side hear The Gunners have ‘no money’ to acquire the Holland international.
The 29-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, with recent reports suggesting that Arsene Wenger is keen to bring him to The Emirates.
Wenger has been promised funds this January following the club’s new £150 million sponsorship deal with Emirates, with the Frenchman stating he will use the money wisely and will be hoping he can sign the Dutch forward in January for as little as £6 million, if of course reports are to be believed.
But Schalke manager, Horst Heldt, has taunted Arsenal’s apparent interest in Huntelaar, claiming they simply cannot afford to sign the former Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan striker, and have had no offers to mull over at present.
Quoted in The Sun recently, Heldt said:
‘There have been no offers or any sign of Klaas-Jan leaving.
‘If someone comes to us six months before the expiry date, and has a lot of money, we will deal with it.
‘But from Arsenal circles we hear there is no money anyway.’

Mr. wenger stop playing with our Emotions, we’re begining to lose faith in our Arsenal team. It will only take a miracle if we win any Trophy this Season.
Wenger clearly feels threatened by top quality players and their experience. That is why he prefers deadwood like Chamakh,Gervinho,Ramsey etc.He will never sign top quality players and even if he manages to get one on the cheap he will be played out of position.
Moving for Huntelaar or goetze wont solve anything. They are both good footballers but neither are what arsenal need.Better to buy a top quality defensive midfielder to restore the balance of the team. Our current travails stem from the moment Diaby limped off at home to Chelsea.Up to that point we looked as good as anything in the division. That said we wont be the last team to sneak out of goodison with a point.
