If there is one thing Arsenal are expected to always rejoice about, it’s the financial status of the club.

Though The Gunners have failed in all attempts to win at least a trophy since 2005, their financial status is not the same.

Arsenal have always recorded a profit at the end of every year, and thanks has to be given to Arsene Wenger for his successful management.

A recent financial analysis, conducted by the Arsenal Supporters’ Trust, shows that despite a wage rise of £19 million in the previous year, Arsenal have around £42.5 million free cash to utilize.

The Premier League’s new deal, which effectively starts next season, will see TV revenues increase up to £35 million per year. If this is to be believed then Arsenal’s annual turnover could exceed the £300 million mark, though it is currently stands at £243 million.

The club are also set to change its shirt sponsor, as the agreement with Nike expires in the summer of 2014. Adidas, who are to be the new manufacturers of the jersey, are expected to pay a huge amount for this deal considering the fact that they just lost Liverpool to a new brand, Warrior, and are seriously in search for a top flight club to promote them.

The Gunners could well re-negotiate their deal with Emirates, which also expire in the summer of 2014, with the aim of matching Etihad’s lucrative deal with Manchester City.

And considering the future revenues coming into the club, the AST believe Wenger could sign two players for £50 million combined and give them a six-figure contract if he sowishes to do so – providing Arsenal continue to qualify for the Champions League.

Literally, when the financial fair play has been strictly adhered to, Arsenal can get to compete in the transfer market with the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and other top teams around Europe.

However, Arsenal will have to step up the performances on the field of play in order to make this dream come true. Constant Champions League qualification and a couple of trophies within the next five years will undoubtedly take the club to the position they belong to be in.

Here’s hoping!

The fact that sponsorship deals are coming to an end makes me feel that wenger will spend some serious cash in jan or the summer. if we are to make the most of the deals then we have to be showing our worth i.e trophies

Wouldn’t trust AST. They’re just a couple of hundred spend-happy fans.

Barca, Madrid and Manu will not be able to compete with us because they are flouting the fair play rules.
    As are City and Chelsea.
Arsenal are sitting very pretty with regards the sponsoship deals and with ourinjured players coming back this is, surely, a great time to be a true gooner.
