Do these THREE Gunners deserve to be shown the door?

Our proposed summer transfers seem to have gained some momentum with a few rumours popping up here and there.

But before we can add to our current squad, we have to get rid of some of the deadwood that has prevented us from greatly expanding the side.

Though I’m one for the whole ‘getting rid of deadwood’, I was surprised to see some of the names who made the list.

Arsene Wenger recently revealed that Nicklas Bendtner, Sebastien Squillaci and Park Chu-Young could all leave the club this summer.

Bendtner has of course been heavily linked with a move away from The Emirates for quite sometime now, with the Dane being sent out on loan last term, and French centre-back Squillaci and South Korean striker Park were rarely seen.

When asked which players would be on their way out, Wenger mentioned the three names above and said they would be finding new homes come August:

‘Bendtner, Squillaci and Park will be on their way to go somewhere.’

To be honest, Park doesn’t deserve to leave.

We signed him last season and he was barely used. I feel he wasn’t given enough time to show off his attributes.

In my opinion, we should give Bendtner at least on more season.

I know there are other strikers in the squad now, but what if injuries begin to take their toll? Plus, he is a good front-man; he just doesn’t seem to have that all important finishing touch which can be worked on by the coaches.

Squillaci. Sorry to say, but I will be glad to see the back of him. He’s had his chances and didn’t impress in a large number of them.

Most of you will say, ‘what do you know, Wenger is the manager’. But he wouldn’t have signed Park if he knew he would sell him exactly one season after purchase, or maybe he did for marketing purposes. Just to sell more and increase our fan base in Korea. Who knows.

I just feel Park and the ‘Great Dane’ deserve one more shot and if they don’t perform then Wenger has every right to show them the door.

I think bendtner is a good striker but he is not willing to sit on the bench and then becomes troublesome wenger has no choice but to sell. If we played two up front he would get alot more game time but we dont!

you should sell more players like; Djourou , Diaby, arshavin , jerkinson, Ramsey etc

In order to win a trophy we have to get rid of expensive rubbish and use the money on better rubbish.

Bendtner is a proven ‘championship’ striker,he’s had far too long to learn his trade, ship him out!.Park has been banging goals in for his country all year, yet that useless bong smoker Chamakh is picked before him….why buy these players if you don’t play em?

The problem is that Bendtner himself is in need to leave. I also have the same vision for him to play at least one season for Arsenal. He scores goals when we need them. But if he is van ‘persieing’ what can the club do and is not that best striker? If he stays, well and good, if he leaves, good lucky! Bendtner likes playing but Wenger could not put van Persie in the bench and play Bendtner, that is for sure.

has to be one of the most pointless questions ever

    YES !

If only Bendtner was less ‘ambitious’, he’s more than welcome to stay but no. He thinks he is a better player than who he is.

As for Squillaci, he was our 5th choice CB and will probably be a 6th choice CB for this season behind Bartley so he should leave.

There must be a reason why Wenger loaned Henry and used him instead of Park when Chamakh was away on ACN duty, so I’ll be glad to see Park go.

keep bendter would also liek it if park got a little game time

To some extent i agree. if you compare bendtners 4 seasons in the arsenal first team squad to rvps first 4 seasons bendtner compares favourably with 45 goals in 79 starts compared to rvps 43 goals in 83 starts plus bendtner was younger when he started compared to rvp. however, bendtner needs to be first choice striker or at least comparable to the man in possession. obviously rvp has moved on a couple of levels and there is every chance bendtner could too. but if rvp leaves i dont think bendtner is so gar behind giroud and is better than chamakh. but i think it will be podolski who gets the nod with giroud and whoever as the back up. hopefully we will get enough cash from the sales of bendtner chamakh park and arshavin to invest in cazorla and another striker i wpuld be quote happy if we went for carroll on loan or dempsey.
