The mega-rich La Liga club want to cut their costs and will apparently listen to offers for the Spanish international.

Cazorla, who joined Malaga last summer from Villarreal for €21 million, has been targeted by Tottenham in the past, but the 27-year-old is believed to be looking to move to a club which can offer Chamapions League football.

Despite already signing Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud – for a combined total of around £24 million – the Gunners have funds at their disposal which could increase significantly if Robin van Persie is sold.

But should Arsenal splash out £15 million on Cazorla? Would the Spaniard be an ideal signing for us this summer? In my opinion, I think it would be a waste of money.

As much as I like Cazorla as a player, signing him is not a necessity for us.

I would rather the cash be spent on a holding midfielder, a back-up defender and goalkeeper.
