Besiktas want to sign Arsenal flop Marouane Chamakh on loan this summer, with the option of acquiring the Moroccan on a £4 million permanent deal in the near future, according to the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old forward, who joined Arsenal from Bordeaux in 2010 on a free transfer, netted just one goal in 19 appearances for the Gunners last season, and it seems Arsene Wenger no longer sees him in his future plans – the signings of Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud is surely proof of this.
Fiorentina have again been linked with Chamakh and are said to have lodged a bid for the Moroccan international around 10 days ago, which Wenger is mulling over.
I would definitely look to get rid of Chamakh this summer – even if it is on a loan – especially after acquiring the services of Giroud and Podolski.
If we can get around £4-5 million for him and get him off our wage bill then I believe it would be a step in the right direction.

get rid but not on loan. he will be even harder to sell with just a year remaining. we need some cash for him, bendtner, park, squillaci, watt, eastmond, botelho & arshavin. if we can get £25m for all of them plus £25m for RVP. wenger will have £50m and whatever he has left to bring in 4 players.
