What matters most to me next season

Arsenal fans out there will have their own personal goals for the club next season, in terms of achievements.

Some of you out there will want to see the Gunners pick up a piece of silverware or two, a few of you may want another top four finish, whilst others just want to see the team progress and do better than the previous campaign.

A culmination of all three would be ideal, but what matters the most to me next season is that our club acquire some much needed silverware (preferably the Premier League title), thus ending this bloody trophy drought and Mickey-taking from rival clubs.

At the end of the day trophies is what define a team and a club, it’s as simple as that really.

It’s all good playing attractive football, but if it gets you nowhere, in terms of silverware, then it’s pointless. I’m not suggesting we change our style of play, but we should consider switching it up a little when it’s needed, when we need to grind out results in the winter or something. As well as that, if we manage to bag ourselves a cup or two, players like Robin van Persie will want to remain at the club, whilst others will want to join.

I’m all for a top finish and Champions League football, but capturing some silverware is what matters most to me next season.
