Having failed in their attempts to sign AC Milan defender Thiago Silva, Barcelona are considering a bid for Thomas Vermaelen this summer.
Spanish publication El Mundo Deportivo claim the Catalan giants have several other options to mull over after Milan rejected their approaches for the Brazilian international, and have pinpointed Vermaelen as a possible candidate.
Due to his versatility, Vermaelen has been targeted by Barca, but the centre-back is highly unlikely to leave the Gunners after insisting a few days ago that he would ‘stay at Arsenal forever’.
Other names on their prospective wish-list this summer include Ajax’s Jan Vertonghen, who is close to signing for Spurs, Borussia Dortmund duo Mat Hummels and Neven Subotic, Lyon’s Dejan Lovren and Chelsea’s David Luiz.
Well I suggest Barcelona turn their attentions to one of the abovementioned names on their list because it seems the Verminator will not be leaving Arsenal anytime soon. A gunner through and through!!!

If Barca want him, they’ll easily take him off us. We are miniscule compared to them, if he or RVP have any ambition to win trophies they’ll leave us ASAP.
