Ok I’m going to keep this post relatively short and sweet. It’s the final day of the season and, realistically, we need to bag all three points against West Brom at The Hawthorns later this afternoon to guarantee third spot and an automatic place in the Champions League next season.
So I ask for the last time this season – what should our starting line-up look like?
It’s a massive fixture, thus the players chosen by Arsene Wenger must be up to the challenge.
Here is how I think Wenger should set out his team:
Szczesny
Coquelin Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs
Song Chamberlain
Gervinho Benayoun
Rosicky
Van Persie
The back four remains the same, with Francis Coquelin coming in for the injured Bacary Sagna.
I would partner Alex Song with young Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain rather than Aaron Ramsey, as the Welsh midfielder has not been in good form recently and could be slated should a bad result ensue (hopefully not).
Gervinho and Yossi Benayoun on the wings, swapping flanks from time to time, while the creative and resurgent Tomas Rosicky sits behind and feeds the 30-goal Robin van Persie (hopefully the Dutch striker can add to his tally!!!)
Time to stand up and be counted for!!!

i think Coquelin should be played today over Song today in the middle
He had a gr8 game along wid Frimpong against Man City in an FA Cup game wid this formation earlier in the season
Song looked a little tired and made several wayward passes in the last game
Ox and Gervinho should be on the wings
to give in an early burst of pace from either wing
Benayoun should come on for either one of them depending on who wasnt efficient enough and wil also be able to give adefensive shift in the later stages so that we dont concede any freak girls this time

This is the day when every philosophy from our LE PROFESOR should turn to magic and we fun should rally behind our team and help them make it or break it. Mr. Wenger should not try any gamble and keep off the likes of RAMSEY AND CHAMACK. On my starting ix i would go with your pick and hope our goalkeeper mark his line well. I wish them well and hope we end the season with our head high. It was not the best season but thank GOD we may end it up in a bronze spot. If 3rd spot is archieved infront of TOTTENHAM it will sound more than a silverware and with RVP BAGING ahatrick to clinch 33goals of the season to win GOLDEN BOAT

in a 4-1-2-3 attack minded formation as follows:
SZCZ
FC – KOS – TV – KG
SONG
ROSICKI – BENAYOUN
AOC – RVP – GERV
This allows for attacking triangles on left and right – FC/ROS/AOC on the right, KG/BEN/GERV on the left.
Defence: Song on Fortune(90+ minutes please!), and ROSICKY and BENAYOUN tracking back to cover for the overlapping backs. Centre backs mopping up anything else … but if that fails, a much chastened SZCZ to keep a clean sheet.
Simples! …. errr, maybe ?????
